INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS FROM NON-EU/EEA COUNTRIES  PROCEDURE FOR SUBJECTS WITH NATIONWIDE ADMISSION RESTRICTIONS

University places in degree programmes with admission restrictions throughout Germany - In Heidelberg these are medicine, dentistry and pharmacy - are allocated directly by the university. 

International applicants from non-EU/EEA countries with a foreign university entrance qualification (e.g., High School Diploma, Attestat, Maturità, etc.) must submit an application for admission for any subject to Heidelberg University.

Please note: Applicants for any degree programme (Bachelor degree or state examination) at Heidelberg University must hold a university entrance qualification and have very good German language skills. When assessing non-German qualifications, Heidelberg University applies the evaluation framework provided by the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen, ZAB).
