By car

Exit onto the A656 in the direction of Heidelberg from the A5 motorway at the Heidelberg junction or from the A6 motorway at the Mannheim junction. At the end of the motorway, take the exit towards the "Hauptbahnhof" (central railway station), pass the central railway station and follow the signs towards the "Schloss" (castle). Stay on the street Kurfürstenanlage until you reach the roundabout (Römerkreis), then take the third exit and continue on Kurfürstenanlage. Once you've passed the fountain at the Adenauerplatz (the park on your left), stay in the left-hand lane and cross the intersection onto Sofienstraße (do not enter the tunnel). Take the next right onto Plöck Street. The Institute for Translation and Interpreting is approximately 400 meters further down the street on the left-hand side (Plöck 57a). The main building is located on the right-hand side of the courtyard.

There are several car parks in Heidelberg's Old Town. The nearest car park is located directly across from the Institute, below the Friedrich-Ebert-Platz (entrance via Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage).

Using public transport

Take bus 32 (towards Universitätsplatz), 33 and 34 (towards Ziegelhausen) or tram 21 (towards Bismarckplatz) or 5 (towards Weinheim) to Bismarckplatz. From Bismarckplatz, cross the street onto the main shopping street (Hauptstraße) and turn right onto Akademiestraße (3rd street on the right). The entrance to the Institute for Translation and Interpreting is 100 meters further down on the left-hand side.
